I found this book quite an eye opener. It is amazing how many products are not regulated, especially cosmetic products. Many people are not aware of all the toxins they are slathering all over their body. I loved the pinkwashing chapter which accuses the major cosmetic companies of causing most of the cancers, eg. breast that they are supposedly trying to help conquer.
I definitely believe in believing natural and organic products whenever possible. Every bit helps!

I would not have purchased this book if I had realized that Stacy Malkan is associated with the Environmental Working Group. Due to her affiliation with the EWG I have to assume that her research isn't worth the paper it's written on.
