This book is a wonderfull work on a totaly new type of fantisy.
Rawn leaves behind the mages and witches of the past to replace them with a new breed of people, Sunrunners.
These mystical people are no difrent from anyone else, except that they have the ability to fly along the sunlight.
They can weave the light of the suns and moons to see far off lands and and talk with other sunrunners, as well as call fire down at their command.
This new breed of witches alowes fantisy lovers to part with the mages and learn a whole new magic, unlike any other.
Rawn does an exceptional of making the charectures come to life in this book.
She does such an excelent job of making them look and seem so real that one is quickly caught up in the intense plot of dragons, princes, and, sunrunners.
This book will be hard to put down once you have started because you will need to know what happens to he people you will grow to know and love.
Of the many books I have read, this is one of the only ones that has me crying right along with the charectures.
The world Rawn builds is real, so rich and full, yet there are no lengthy descriptions.
The way she writes alows you to truely become suprised with the turns in the story, very little can be guessed, like other books.
This book and it's series are a one of a kind experiance not to be missed.
I recomend this book to anyone who likes a book with deep feelings and emotions.
It will make you jump for joy and cry along with the story.

I've always read fantasy, and I've read alot of it but nothing,
And I sincerly mean NOTHING, compares to the Masterpiece that
is "Dragon Prince". Melanie her story come to life with great
use of descriptive/narrative write. Written from her own
Omnipotent point of view, She makes you feel as if you are
part of the book itself and not mearly "reading" it. The
characters tend to become your friends, and when you finish
reading the books, you start to miss each of them, and you'll
start reading them all over again. I know, I've read the whole
series thrice all ready.

If you like Magic, History, Secrets, and a True Love story,
this book is the best!!!!

If you like any kind of fantasy or romance novel, then this is the one for you. It's packed with romance, intrigue, ruthlessness and a little war mixed in for good measure

This is one of the best books that I have read in quite a while.
I don't normally have the time to read all of the books that I
would like to, and they aren't always fantasy, but this book caught
my interests and imagination from the very beginning. I hadn't
previously had that inclination that "I just couldn't put it down!",
but it has made me a believer.
It incorporates everything (and a few surprises) that a
great story line needs. I enjoy reading a book or seeing a movie
before I really hear much about the story line, so I will leave the
story up to your uncovering as I am sure that you will do so with
great haste. It is definitely one od the best that I have yet
read. A MUST READ!!

Melanie Rawn has brought us many innovative and magical books throughtout the years. The first in The Dragon Prince series is "Dragon Prince." The protagonist Rohan and his Sunrunner Sioned are delightfully life-like. Through their intial struggles, the reader becomes enthralled by their world, one of intreuge, politcs, magic, and love. When you finish this book you will definately want to read the others of this series

I just loved this book and all that follow it. Melanie Rawn
writes so well that you get to know the character personnaly.
The whole series of books just kept me facinated. There is
everything in this book love, war, and hate. I would read them again.

Melanie writes with a delightful mixture of emotional context.
She delves into the wells of hate, anger, pain, and all the dark
emotions that bring out our own strong feeling, but is also
able to delicately weave good humor, courage, love, and the
lighter side of our hearts into the golden pattern of her
stories. Her books are captivating as well as enchanting, and
make one eager to pick up the next one as soon as the first
has told its tale.
