IGNORE THE OTHER REVIEWS - THIS IS A DIFFERENT BOOK!,

This review is from: Rod Serling's the Twilight Zone (Hardcover)
This Twilight Zone book by Rod Serling (while still enjoyable) is not the one described by the other reviewers here. This book is quite short (I read it in three hours) and rather quaint to say the least. An interesting read for diehard TZ fans but honestly seems very tame and a bit boring - sorry but it's true (and I'm a big Serling fan). The edition is hardcover (with no dust jacket?) and is newly printed (although it lacks many standard publishers identification marks, ISBN etc - it's quite odd). For the price plus the killer airmail postage to Australia I would give it a miss.

Simply Incredible,

This review is from: Rod Serling's the Twilight Zone (Hardcover)
I picked this book up, being a huge fan of the Twilight Zone, expecting something great from Rod Serling. Although I enjoyed the series I have to say, I enjoyed the written stories even more. Serling has a way with words that rivals that of King and I think even surpasses that of great American authors such as Updike or Bradbury. Every story is rich in creativity and from the very beginning Serling grabs you and takes you on a journey through his mind. The simplicity of the word flow matched with the complexity of the descriptions in his stories create a very enjoyable reading experience. To make a long story short Serling surpassed all of the expectations I had, if you loved the series then I almost guarantee you'll love this.
