Fantastic book. Easy recipes that are quick and taste great. I would highly recommend this book.

These recipes are truly 30 minute recipes, not recipes that require claim to be but yet require 1 hr prep time before the 30 mins cook time. The results are great, as expected from CI. Ingredients are all everyday ingredients and not a huge list. It's a very user friendly book.

My family has subscribed to the Cook's Illustrated magazine for several years. I've always enjoyed their no-nonsense, no-advertising, practical approach to cooking. Their books are equally good. I don't think you can go wrong with them. The recipes are not fancy or difficult (good for me) - they simply result in delicious food.

Most recipes can indeed be made in 30 minutes ro less however I found some of the meals to be too much food. E.g., 4 to 6 servings recipe was actually *AT LEAST* 8 servings' worth of food. Otherwise it's a fantastic cookbook.

Found this book at the library, and immediately ordered one for myself. Containing a host of marvelous recipes, it also reviews kitchen tools, methods of preparation to provide the best results, and other pointers too numerous to mention. Would recommend this book to anyone, from novice cook to experienced. Very handy, very clear and easily understood, and overall an outstanding reference book for the kitchen!
