Trail Guide to the Body is an invaluable resource for any massage therapist or body-worker wanting to know the intricacies of the body, and the correlation of the muscles and bones. The illustrations are incredible, showing wonderful detail. Written information is concise, informative, and thoroughly presented. Muscles include such information as: the action, insertion, origin, and nerves. Palpation is also shown along with instructions on "how-to".

The authors have also recently released flash cards for the muscles and another set for the bones. I absolutely loved them and carried them around with to study.

Awesome book! Great reference and one book that I refer to time and time again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very useful, April 23 2012

This is a practical book that explains in clear and simple language the location and function of muscles and bones. Also explains how to find them on palpation. Also gives good summaries on muscles involved in each action, which helps with revision. Very useful for me (massage therapist). I recommend this for those wanting a good, basic understanding of muscles and functions.

Overall I really like this book. I used it in my first year physiotherapy course (Surface Anatomy), and it was really useful in locating many structures. I just wish that the DVD had more structures included.

4.0 out of 5 stars Trail Guide to the Body, Jun 7 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Literally a hands-on book! Lots of illustrations, but perhaps more appropriate for a professional as the book is mainly anatomy and its terminology.

Book in great condition.
