This book is great! It will answer all of your questions about medical school and becoming a doctor. It reviews the steps that need to be taken to become a doctor. The author has also set up an appendix that gives research for every medical school in Canada. It gives you all of the basics and then some! Highly recommended!

Any questions I have ever had, are ALL answered here. Packed with different perspectives from prospective students, students, interns and doctors. This is a fantastic resource.

I agree with this book's claim that it is the only real in-depth resource on applying to medical schools in Canada. Hopefully the author or a colleague will update the information in the coming years.

While providing lots of information on the Canadian med school system, Berdl also writes in-depth about considering why you may or may not want to become a doctor, and what the realities are. This is an important subject and I'm glad she took time to discuss it. Sometimes she makes med school sound daunting, but I think it's better to be forewarned than to enter blindly.

If you are considering applying to medical school in Canada, or just want a better sense of how the system works in Canada, I recommend this book as a strong resource. Amazing that she had time to write it while becoming a doctor herself!

This book is an excellent, reliable, and thorough guide to Canadian medical schools and training programs. It gives would-be applicants to the medical profession a realistic picture of what obstacles and indeed positive experiences they can expect as a trainee. The profession of medicine and the preparation for it are demanding but also extremely rewarding. This book gives readers a fine appreciation of this conflicting experience.

Best book I've ever read. It shows you all the aspects of being a doctor and what it involves! I recommend it to everyone!

I loved this book! It is especially handy for those going into medicine in Ontario. There is a bunch of information and it's easy to understand. It had appendixes which help you pick out the right university. It has made my of into getting into med school that much easier!

A very informative book filled with helpful info and appendices. A few (maybe 5) typos throughout the whole thing but overall a very good read, and the mistakes are minor and don't affect the reading experience unless you are picky. Good for the few who adventure to become a doctor in our great country.
