I would have never thought that a book written by a gastroenterologist would be so easy and entertaining to read. It's packed with solid medical information and good old common sense. I've lived with IBS for years and have managed to control some aspects of it with careful monitoring of foods / ingredients, and scheduling when I eat during the day. Reading Dr. Shinya's book gave me some great insight on how to further better the steps I'm taking. For instance, he breaks down the proportions of an ideal diet in any culture or environment ... essentially, we should consume less meat, and more grains. Simple diet, simple common sense, great results. Thank you Dr. Shinya.
