This book collects the miniseries that was one of the two titles spinning out of Geoff John's 'Green Lantern: Rebirth' (the other being the ongoing Green Lantern series.) While Hal Jordan protects Earth and the rest of sector 2814, the Guardians of the Galaxy rebuild the Green Lantern Corps to protect the rest of the galaxy. This book chronicles that process of rebuilding and sets the stage for the ongoing Green lantern Corps series. While 'Green Lantern' is a solo super hero book, 'GLC' is a team book and is a bit more cosmic in scope.Co-written by Geoff Johns and Dave Gibbons, this isn't as good as 'Green Lantern: Rebirth', but it IS really good (Rebirth is hard to match). I would highly recommend it, especially if you plan on picking up the rest of the GLC trades. |
