Doreen writes wonderful books and creates beautiful card decks, but she should leave sound healing to those who really know what they are doing. Trust me, the sound quality and voice in this recording are NOT condusive to clearing your chakras!! Not so long ago, I found a Yoga workout with a "Chakra" segment. Never in my life had I felt so free from emotional pain and so completely happy for no reason. Simply by imagining colors in various sections of your body, you can achieve a sense of inner calm and clear negative energy. It sounds too good to be true until you try it.

Doreen Virtue has created a healing CD to erase pain and negative thought patterns. While struggling with your thoughts can at times increase the pain, relaxing into your "power" helps you to release what is beyond your control. This is not about giving up, it is about acquiring a powerful new perspective. Once you have been released from disempowering thoughts and obsessive thoughts you can again think clearly in a healed environment.

I find Chakra clearing to be most effective after a Yoga workout that focuses on flexibility and relaxation. If the total liberation from suffering is enlightenment, you might very well feel enlightened after clearing your Chakras.

The only aspect of this program that I was a bit tentative about was the "inviting angels into your body" to clear the charkas. This program is still effective without the help of angels.

The section on "Etheric Cords" was simply fascinating and she is correct that they are like surgical tubing and you can literally feel the thickness and density of the tubing. I was amazed at how this helped me to see who I am really "attached" to emotionally. Some of the cords were so thick they were more like steel and some almost refused to be cut. You have to read chapter four in order to find the instructions. I was able to cut some cords that have been draining my energy and while it might be psychological, it works. It is a visual way to remind yourself of your commitment to not let people drain you of your energy.

Doreen explores the effects of various foods and beverages that positively affect the Chakras and shows how exercise is also essential. She also explains how yoga and tai chi movements increase the flow of life-force through your charkas. After reading this book, massage, flower essences and sea salt baths take on a new meaning.

I'd recommend that you listen to the CD before reading the book. Not only because some of the information will then make more sense and you will be pretty amazed by a few aspects of the Chakra clearing session.

Pleasant book, very easy read, with a few basic exercises for working with chakras. If you're looking for more in-depth information, try another book or search the web. Note: if you're not a Christian, you may want to seek another book, as the author relies heavily on a Judeo-Christian cosmology with God and angels; this makes it less accessible to some of us, even when we substitute our own beliefs in written or spoken word. (More difficult when you're working through the audio CD and the author mentions God.) This is said without disrespect to anyone; we're not all the same, and we're not all comfortable with Christianity. The author seems like a loving, centered person, and that's worthy of respect.

I loaned this book from the library and enjoyed the CD so much I decided to buy it from Amazon! I have many books on chakras and this one is a great addition to the ones I have. However the CD that accompanies the book has a morning & evening meditation which is the main reason why I bought the book! The book explains the functions of the chakras and goes on to explain different methods (the second chapter includes the written meditations that are on the CD) on how to clear the chakras. You can never go wrong with anything from Doreen Virtue!

I thoroughly enjoy listening to these cd's They are relaxing and definitely contribute to an overall good feeling. Thank you Doreen.

This book is filled with easy to understand information. The reader receives a complete understanding of the Chakra system along with many wonderful meditations to cleanse them. The accompanying CD is a beautiful, relaxing and mystical experience that will fill you and your life with love. Doreen's voice is soothing, the music comforting. I look forward to waking up and going to bed each day just so I can revel in the experience of this CD once more!

I bought this CD a year or so ago. I was laying in bed almost asleep listening to "Good night, sweet dreams" Then "THIS CD HAS BEEN A HAY HOUSE PRODUCTION" My eyes fly open and I what, what?? I have already payed for the CD. Why do I have to pay to receive Hay House advertising? If they must do this at least have the decensy to put it at the begining of all CDs.

This audio cassette is an easy way to clear and activate your chakras. I use it every day. Doreen guides you through a morning and evening meditation along with visualizations to help you start and end your day from a place of joy. It's a must have for all spiritual work.

Extremely informative about clearing the charkas in your esthetic body. A enormous insight for understanding your aura colors which can balance your own lifestyle. Letting go of immensely worries and become very well alert on your own body light as a enlightening device.
