This book was recommended to me by 2 people. I did not know anything about it. But what a beautiful book. I am at a second reading now and absolutely love it. Already feel some changes in my life. And I look at certain issues differently. I think everyone should read this book. We all have some difficultly in relationship, starting with our parents. I recommend this book to everybody. It's good to help you keep life on track, it's that boost when
you're in a slump.

use it, guaranteed someone you know will.

Louise Hay - the queen of affirmations! I enjoyed these DVDs. Louise narrates throughout this movie and reflects how she has 'healed' her life and how she continues to help others 'heal' their lives through affirmations. She has been an incredible healer to aids victims. The title 'Heal Your Life' can mean heals what ails you, but mostly it means heals your emotions, your thoughts, your feelings about something (that something could mean an illness, or it could mean your emotional attachment to whatever it is that bothers you). Could this movie be helpful to you about ANY situation in your life? ABSOLUTELY! The mind is something that can be trained to re-think! I highly recommend this DVD.

It is unbelievably helpful book that approaches critical spiritual and mental subjects in a very clear and simple language. I strongly recommend this book to those who are seeking a spiritual path or those who are determine to change the current situation of their life.

Louise Hay is such an inspirational figure and she shares some terrific advice and exercises in this book. This is a classic to keep on the shelf and revisit whenever you're feeling down, or when you want to accomplish something and take your life to the next level. It's a book you will read over and over again through out the years so it's definitely a great addition to any book shelf.
This books helps readers to heal the wounds of a rough childhood, heal illness with the power of thought, love and accept yourself unconditionally, and open yourself to the abundance of the universe. It's an easy, light read, but a very powerful book. The reader is asked to participate in the healing process through a variety of exercises. This is a very user-friendly book in that you can read the whole thing or just focus on one section at a time. It's a terrific book that is very accessible to all readers, young or old, whether you read a lot or a little- you will get something positive from this book.

This is an excellent study course and I will give it 5 stars. I had this product on VHS and was excited that it was finally put out in a DVD format. I ordered this item and was notified on 10/24/2011 that it was shipped with estimated delivery date of 10/28/2011. It is now 11/06/2011 and I never received this item. You can round and round on tracking your order....but if you never get the product...what good is the tracking ?????? I've never had a problem before with any Amazon order. I am assuming it's lost. So for your tracking and shipping...I give you no stars.

Book must be read with an open mind. Her insights on the mind-body connection to pain and illness are helpful, as are the practical suggestions for implementing positive affirmations and releasing past hurts. Insightful for people dealing with chronic pain or chronic illness, who've exhausted the medical options and can't figure out where to go from here. The "companion book" is a complementary add-on, helpful in releasing the past if one is ready to do the soul-searching involved.

Many of Louise's views re: our origin and purpose in life will not be shared by every reader, so one must be able to read with an open mind. For instance, she believes we are reincarnated, and that we choose our present circumstances (good or terrible) prior to our incarnation, as we feel that we need to learn lessons from them.)

I've read several of Louise's works. I found this particular book to have smaller type size, so it's not quite as easy to read, though the human (fallible, though insightful) wisdom contained therein is helpful if ingested with discretion.

Video is an interesting add-on, with comments from several different mind-body practitioners.

This is a wonderful book. Have bought copies for famliy and friends while buying the DVD as gifts as well. Shows you the power we all have but fail to realize. Needs to be required reading in schools!

The arrogance of ignorance that I find in the negative reviews is fully comprehensible. Do your homework people before opening your maw! This book is actually right on in most respects. In terms of the "we heal ourselves," the reality is that the body (only) heals itself given the right circumstances -- beyond surgery, drugs and synthetic remedies. However, sometimes surgery and drugs are necessary in extreme cases. The depth of the text is weak because the author needed to go deeper into the "true esoteric causes" of illness. That is sparse. There are valid sources out there that do in fact address that very topic indepth, if people are not to lazy or unschooled to do their homework. Also, there are powers that may help us to get well, IF we know how to contact them. That I have proven for myself. However, I have proven solidly to myself that karma, though acting in mysterious ways (to our ignorant mind), is a primary factor in most all that happens in this scripted existence. Also, we have to know that ANYTHING and EVERYTHING has its origin "within" to LATER manifest externally, just as many diseases eventually manifest on the skin. The topic is vast and the author just chips a nice little piece of truth off the iceberg of reality in illness.
