I know the word 'heartwarming' is used frequently to describe books with animals, but I'm going to use that term here!

I know the word 'heartwarming' is used frequently to describe books with animals, but I have to say it again here! There are a lot of books available on dogs whether working dogs, war dogs or rescue dogs. The books are a tribute to the wonderful little 'angels in fur coats.'
Some people prefer puppies - little balls of fur, fun and excitement. Others prefer older dogs: elegant, full of the wisdom that comes with a lifetime of learning; dignified, serene having nothing to prove as they've proven themselves over the years and just want (and need) tranquility, quietude and complete acceptance even if that means looking after their aches, pains, illnesses and sadly, diseases until the very end.
I've had the wonderful experience of having had many dogs over my many decades and currently have a senior rescue girl. I love their loyalties, dignity and they know they'll be treated like royalty! This and other books about older dogs is a joy to read because older dogs are also a joy to have - especially if they're rescues.
This book as well as other books I've bought on dogs (and a few on elephants) are, in extension, a tribute to a God who creates perfection! If you love dogs, you'll love this book. Highly recommended - 5 stars!
