Loved it with only one small complaint, Jan 10 2010
I've read two other of Hegi's books and loved one of them and didn't love the other so I wondered what reaction this one would give. Turns out I loved this one too. The story was interesting and held my interest. It wasn't quite a "can't put it down" book but was close.
My only complaint was the way she chose to write Mason's part of the story. I didn't like having his sentences cut in half from one chapter to the next. By the time I got to the next part of his story, I'd forgotten what he was saying and I found myself continually having to go back to reread the last part of the previous Mason chapter.
Other than that minor irritation, I loved the book and would definitely recommend it.
