This book just proves what an amazing person she really is.
To have so much material wealth growing up, now to not have that she still lives her life with such joy and grace.
It really does make you want to befriend her and wish her well.
Go Tori!

4.0 out of 5 stars Much Enjoyed!, Oct 11 2008

I just finished reading this book. I wasn't sure what it would be like but I was interested in how she grew up, what happened to her Dad, why her Mother was such a terrible person and how she became the person she is today. I really enjoyed this book and learned so much more about Tori that I didn't know. Reading her book I felt very involved, like I was one of her friends, apart of her family. This book makes you feel like you're part of her life. The only thing I didn't like...is how her marriage ends with Charlie and how it begins with Dean. It changed my opinion of Tori. But all in all, a good book to read, I couldn't put it down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Read the book before you judge Tori, Aug 22 2008
This review is from: sTORI Telling (Hardcover)
I loved reading this book and was amazed to see what a down-to-earth person she is now, compared to how she was brought up. She talks about her 90210 days, her boyfriends, her movies, her houses, her fights with her mother, her weddings. My favorite thing was that she was so open and honest about everything. Wonderful read :)

4.0 out of 5 stars sad for Tori and her mom, Jan 5 2009

I got the book for Christmas and finished it 3 days later. I really enjoyed the book and Tori's writing style.
However I have to say that I felt sad for her and her mother's relationship. Hoping this will get fixed, as it will affect everything in your life. I do hope they will work it out...
I think Tori is a very smart business woman, wife and mother, and I really liked how candid she was with the telling of her story. I wasn't a fan of hers before I got this book for Christmas, I just knew her from her past tv show 90210, and Tori and Dean in Love. I feel like I have a better understanding of who she is now. I wished she would have written more of her Dad, Aaron Spelling, I was hoping for more stories of him...
Otherwise it was a good read, and I would recommend it to anyone, fan or not....

5.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderfully Written, Revealing Read, July 10 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: sTORI Telling (Hardcover)
I loved this book. Tori Spelling is an excellent writer, and I enjoyed her stories of her life, its ups and downs, its insane moments, its perfect moments, and after reading it, I can only wish her the best (and wish I could invite her over for an iced tea!) She is genuine, and really proves that just because you are born into a priviledged home with famous parents, life is not always guaranteed to be utter perfection. She has dealt with a lot of tough issues; terrible and unfair lies said about her that are so hard to prove wrong, heartbreak, loss, humiliation, and death of loved ones, however she comes out reflective, positive and does so with humor and compassion. Although I knew she had found her true love and had two children with him before I even started the book, I found myself really rooting for her! This book really makes you realize that money does not buy happiness or that feeling of safety and belonging that we are all looking for. Her childhood and early adulthood was, crazy. But, she proved all the press and some of her family wrong. She is an intelligent, beautiful, talented woman, and I wish her wonderful things in life!

I enjoyed this book a lot. It was funny sad and gave you an indepth look at Tori Spellings life. However i had no idea her mother was so terrible at certain times in her life. I am so glad she met Dean it seems like everything is perfect for the time being. Great book Tori i look forward to reading Mommywood.

4.0 out of 5 stars Loveable, interesting, down to earth Tori, Dec 15 2009
This review is from: sTORI Telling (Paperback)
My friend who just became a new mom in March 2009, lent me this book. At first, I was skeptical and was expecting fluffy stories. However, I was pleasantly surprised that this book was entertaining and Tori is a loveable, down to earth, witty character. I am happy she let us into her world through this book, and her TV show, which I find very enjoyable to watch. I think we can all relate to complicated family relationships and the personalities we have to deal with, as you can not pick your family, you can only pick your friends, as the famous saying goes. I am happy she finally got her happy ending with her cute husband and adorable children. I also appreciated and respected the fact that she addressed the "cheating" with Dean in a professional, level headed way and did not hide from it. I think it takes a lot of courage to face our demons when it comes to romantic relationships or family affairs. I would recommend this book to any of my friends, and I look forward to reading her next book. Keep up the good work!
