5.0 out of 5 stars Completely excellent, Mar 26 2009
This review is from: Burned (Paperback)
This book is written in a poem kind of format, at least the way the words are lined up on the pages. This story is about the dilemma of a 17 year old Mormon girl, Pattyn living in an abusive family. She has be raised on stalwart Mormon beliefs that a woman's role is to get married and just have as many kids as possible. But like any teenager she starts to rebel against the rules and she gets a boyfriend, not a good Mormon boy though. When her father catches them one day he turns against her and sends her off to stay with her Aunt Jeanette in the Nevada country side. In this new world she finds comfort, security and forever love. But whats going to happen when summer ends?

Great book, I really could see this happening to somebody. Its excellently told, you can believe every word that is spoken.
