I have to say I read the first two within three days and read the third after. I was dissapointed incrediably with this book. This is my least favorite out of all the books in the series. I still think you need to read it just so you can understand some of the parts in the next two books. I just found this book to be boring---it was nothing like the first two at all. No action, no twists...it just fell flat...but it shouldn't stop you from reading the first,2nd,4th,fifth in the series! I gave it a three just because it's part of a great series.

"Reunion" is the third book in the Mediator series by Jenny Carroll, centering around a young woman named Susannah 'Suze' Simon, who is a Mediator: someone who guides unquiet spirits to their eternal rest (whether they like it or not!) Having recently moved from New York to California to live with her mum's new husband, Suze has had to learn to cope with a new Catholic school and putting up with three new stepbrothers as well as the supernatural antics of the ghosts she has to control.

The only people who know her secrets are the kindly Principal Father Dominic and her best friend Gina from New York, who is present throughout this book, and of course Jesse, the incredibly gorgeous ghost that inhabits her room, that Suze has a mighty big crush on. For the moment however, she's happy to hang out with Gina on the beach and enjoy her company whilst it lasts. But that all changes when she spots the four spirits of teenagers that were killed in a car accident on the night of their school prom, who seem eagar to dish out revenge on who they belief was responsible for their deaths: Michal Meducci. This somewhat geeky (but as it turns out, very cute) young man seems to be very accident prone, whether it's giant puppets falling on him at the mall or jellyfish strangling him in the ocean. But Suze knows the truth: the ghosts are out to avenge their deaths, and its up to her to stop them.

The core of all of these books is the character of Suze, whom you can't help but like. With her in-your-face attitude concerning the often-violent spirits she comes across, and in the snappy first-person text that Carroll uses to narrate her own stories, she keeps the story bounding along nicely. And in this case, her voice is needed in order to smooth out an otherwise shaky storyline. There are plot holes galore if you look hard enough (if the car was rammed over the cliff surely the police would have noticed a damaged back-fender) and some rather odd statements that seem to have no place within the context of this kind of story, such as Suze commenting on the traditional covering of Catholic images with black cloth before Easter: "Religion. That is some wacky stuff I tell you," and on a school assignment concerning the arms race: "We *should* care. Because as the charts Kelly's group was holding up revealed, there were some countries who had way more bombs and stuff than we did." Maybe I'm over-reacting, but a teenage thriller-ghost story doesn't really seem the appropriate place to flaunt one's religious and political ideas, especially when both of them are somewhat offensive.

Likewise, the story is hopelessly predictable - as in the previous books a murder takes place that Suze must investigate, which leads her into the clutches of the murderer, who is obvious from the word go due to his/her good looks and insane personality. Ah well, it kept me entertained for three hours, and Suze is definitely quite a character. Her role as Mediator (sort of a blend between Ghostbuster and Vampire Slayer) needs some more meat to it - such as how many are there? Is there an organisation of them? Who/what chooses them? - and then this series could really take off.

And could someone please explain why it's called "Reunion"? No one got reunited so far as I could see!

Suze's best friend, Gina, is visiting her for a few weeks. Suze would be thrilled but a pack of teenage ghosts are trying to kill the school geek, Michael. Things get even more complicated when Michael develops a crush on Suze.

There's not much I can say about this book that I didn't say about the first two. The series seems to have settled into a pattern of murder mysteries revolving around Suze's latest love interest. That isn't necessarily a bad thing though and the book was still a fun read. I will certainly continue to read this series with enthusiasm.

Suze was having real fun now that her best friend from Brooklyn, the funky Gina came for a visit and it seems that even the emergence of four new ghosts - teens from RLS High who died in a car crash - couldn't spoil that. That is, until they tried to kill this geek called Michael even though he and the ghosts don't seem to have anything in common. When things got violent, though, Father Dominic, Suze along with Jesse decided to figure out the reason for the ghosts's revenge and got a story which defied their initial beliefs. But not only Suze have to deal with the ghosts, she also had to deal with Michael's crush on her! Suze was also reminded by Gina of an important reading by a fortune teller when she was in New York and her conversation with Father Dominic about that revealed something new about the priest. In the end, when Suze's family was almost killed by a supposed accident, she decided to take things into her own hands leading to a huge confrontation.
I thought this book was great, and the dark fact that Suze actually have something in common with Michael is interesting. Suze cracks us up with her thoughts and the storyline is exciting, so I have no qualms in reading it again and again!

Suze is having a great time hanging out with Gina, her best friend from New York, who was able to come out and visit her. They have been hanging out at the beach every chance available and catching up on old times. Until Suze sees four ghosts trying to steal beer from a convenience store. Suze quickly discovers that the four, dubbed the "RLS Angels" by all who knew them, were killed in a freak car accident on the treacherous cliff roads in Carmel-by-the-Sea. The four, two boys and two girls, were some of the most beautiful and popular people at a very exclusive rich kids school. Unfortunately, they seem to be determined to punish Michael Meducci, the geeky kid who hit their car and forced them off the cliffside. Suze doesn't really want to be seen around Michael (talk about loss of popularity!), but she knows that that is the only way she'll be close enough to keep him alive. After saving Michael's life twice, Michael develops a huge crush on Suze and tries to hang out with her all the time. Suze is convinced that it is all just a big mistake and that she can get the ghosts to leave them alone through some of her kick-butt ghost busting techniques, but Father Dominic, her fellow mediator, talks her into trying to talk them out of it. After talking to the RLS Ghosts, Suze doesn't really like them any more than she did before, but she starts to suspect that Michael may not just be having a run of bad luck. I mean, his sister is in a coma from passing out at a pool party and he accidentally killed 4 people in a couple weeks, how can that be a coincidence? As Suze tries to piece everything together and find out who she should be protecting, she has to make some tough decisions about who to punish and how...

This is the third book in the Mediator series and it is every bit as good as the first two! I just think Suze is hilarious, but she is also very tough and you don't want to mess around with her. Michael was a great character, too, in that you weren't quite sure what was going on with him and he was a bit of a mystery. It was fun to meet Gina, Suze's friend from New York, and I always get a kick out of hearing about Suze's opinions of her stepbrothers (nicknamed Sleepy, Dopey & Doc by Suze). You can jump into the series with this book, but, because the series is so great, I highly recommend that you read all of the books - you will be cracking up the whole time!

The Mediator series keeps getting better with each book, so needless to say, I was not disappointed at all with "Reunion."

Suze Simon is now on break, and her best friend from New York (Gina) is staying for a week. Gina knows all about Suze's mediator thing, and really cautions her to be careful and not to get hurt. But one day when Suze and Gina are buying sodas at a local 7-Eleven type shop, Suze sees four kids in - get this - formal dresses and suits.

When Suze confronts the four ghosts, they are MAD. They're still hanging around because, well, they were in a car accident, and want to kill the kid that hit their car. The problem is - Suze is going out with him! What will happen with the four ghosts?

I loved this book, but I really can't say much about it, because I don't want to give anything away.

Overall grade: A+

I love Jenny Carroll! She is one of my favorite authors. I love this series and her other one 1-800-where-r-u. Another great series that is good is Dark Secrets by Elizabeth Chandler. Oh and you should also check out Meg Cabot's (Jenny Carroll under Meg Cabot) All American Girl.

I'd be giving away the story of the third volume in The Mediator series if I went so far as to explain what our cool ghostbuster-of-sorts Suze Simon is doing spending tons of time with a guy she normally wouldn't be seen with.

Suffice it to say she's just doing her job of getting to the bottom of ghostly business as the mediator. Especially now that there are four angry freshly-dead teens whose ghosts want revenge over their untimely deaths. But how'd those ghosts get to be dead in the first place?

If you enjoyed the first two mediator books, you'll probably love this one too. It kinda reads like a teen mystery. It's not all that difficult for older readers to figure everything out, but this is still a nice, fun read.

OKay it was soo good I mean I couldn't put it down my mom was getting mad cause I wasn't doing my homework or my chorse! It was so good!

In Reunion Suze is as happy as someone like her can be. The reason: Gina has landed! Suze plans on making Gina's visit as great as possible filling it with fun, the beach, and cute guys. But of course Suze's plans end up changing. That is because the ghosts of four young people have showed up demanding revenge on the nerd who they think killed them. Seeing as these ghosts won't listen to her Suze has no choice but to protect "mega nerd" Michael Meducci. But one night while talking to the ghosts and checking out the crime scene Suze starts to think that maybe their deaths weren't accidental after all. And if this is true then Suze's life not to mention her friends and family's lives are in more danger than ever.

ANOTHER GREAT BOOK. Man I love this series. Ooh and we hear another intersting fortune from Madame Zara!
