This is a good book for anyone who wants to enter the feild of computational chemistry and molecular dynamics. The quantum mechanics in the book is over simplified. Reading QM from any other book will be much better idea. The examples at the end are really good to learn the GAMESS program. The author has also a blog which explains a lot of very good examples. The book has also some errors where the auther has corrcted in his blog.

As far a point of improvment, shall the auther treat the theortitical background in more details, i mean deatils in a way that does not oversimplifies the fundamenctal ideas. The book will be great. Adding some more advanced examples will be good too. eyes are open for for the second edition

I strongly recommend this book as a starting point of molecular modeling, but specially for those of you interested in have a quick overview of the basics of quantum chemistry.
