3.0 out of 5 stars Really Supporting Player, June 5 2008
Happy is the child that knows what he wants to be when he grows up. Happier is the young man who does something about it. Seff is happy. It's a good read about the secondary people in the performance industry. There is a very large contingent of very good actors & other theater types, who will never hit the big time & who put their lives on the line for unpredictable income. Seff was an agent & the book reflects that. Sometimes it reads like a telephone directory - name after name with previous roles rather than addresses. Only natural for an agent I guess & it does draw you into the hard grit of actually getting a show to completion. In fact, after reading the book, you wonder how any show reaches the stage. It badly needs another proof read. Nevertheless, read it.
