This review is from: The Munschworks Grand Treasury (Hardcover)
I bought this book for my four year old daughter and it has become an absolute must for bed time reading. Many stories have both of us in giggles and the illustrations match the stories perfectly. It's a great way to introduce Robert Munsch to kids.

Robert Munsch at His Best,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Munschworks Grand Treasury (Hardcover)
From the day we brought this book home, my son has been begging me to read him the stories over and over and over again. He never seems to get tired of them! His other books are gathering dust on the shelf while he memorizes every story in this one. I highly recommend it.

don't be taken in,

Although this is not available here brand new, it is available over at chaptersindigo.ca for $29. Don't be taken in by greedy used booksellers trying to swindle you.

Lucky I was home on the first deleivery attempt.,

Used a parcel service to make the delivery rather than the Post. Luckily I was home and we didn't have to play tag for three or four days before having to drive out to the parcel head quarters to fetch it. use the post. They are the only ones who have access to buildings and can leave a book at your door.

One big Munsch's book,
By Althetrainer "Al" (Calgary, Canada) - See all my reviews

This book is quite pricy but it is big with many original Munsch's stories. Our son liked the book except one story. The last story "A Promise is A Promise" seemed to bother him a lot. He Got scared every time we turned to that last story. We had to skip it until he was 8 years old. Despite my efforts in explaining to him about the background of the story, he was still not too crazy about it. "A Promise is A Promise" may not disturb other children but it sure scares the heck out of mine.

I have two daughters. I loved The Paperbag Princess, so I thought I would buy this treasury. Well, I have to say I don't really enjoy the rest of the stories. They are OK, but not something I would read over and over to my children.

My Favortie Story is Thomas' Snowsuit,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Munschworks Grand Treasury (Hardcover)
My favorite story is Thomas' Snowsuit by Robert N. Munsch. It is about Thomas and his mother and his teacher fighting. My favorite part is when Thomas is wearing the teachers dress. I also like when Thomas gets the teacher and the principal back into their clothes. This book is funny. You can't live without it! By Katie

A Grand Treasury Indeed!,

This book was recommended to me for my children by a 1st grade teacher. I was reluctant to purchase it at first because of the price and because I had never read a book by Munsch. However, I decided to get it and, wow, are my kids happy. The book features many children's stories - most with silly goings on that keep my 7 and 4 year old boys in stitches. Every night for the last two months they ask to have one of the stories re-read to them. The outcome is always the same - laughter. This is an excellent work because it brings out the joy of reading for the kids. Definitely worth the money!

approximately 400 pages, beautiful illustrations, relevant and humorous stories. I enjoyed the book as much as my four year old daughter did.
