This is an amazing book not only for quilters but to learn about the various cultures across Canada. It is a book that is great to read a bit at a time and go back and reread the various stories.

An exquisitely beautiful book. This book should be a collector's item. It was a Invitational Project for all the peoples of the world who came to settle in Canada, and the author asked each nationality, as a group, to submit a 12"x12" square (that is the size, if I remember correctly) of the items they handcrafted, cross-stitched, embroidered, etc. on their quilt square which most symbolically depicted their own country of origin. This is a real keepsake and getting harder to find. It really is a gorgeous book for all people who are interested in our Canadian history and who are interested in seeing the beautiful, delicate needlework of the contributors.
