5.0 out of 5 stars A true hockey hero, Oct 3 2006

This review is from: The Power of Two: Carl Brewer's Battle with Hockey's Power Brokers (Paperback)
While we sat in front of our TV in the 50's and 60's watching Hockey Night in Canada and watching the world's greatest players, something was wrong with how our NHL heroes were being treated. Owners and coaches were treating our heroes like serfs.

The players were also being hijacked by people who said there were on their side. Owners and agents working together to make themselves rich and the players dependant upon them.

Find out why the salaries today are the way they are and why the Players Union is so strong.

Real people played hockey and real people tell the story in this fascinating, well written account. A must for anyone who wants to know the rest of the story.

I bought this book for my "hockey nut" husband for his birthday and he loved it. I decided to read it as well, and surprise, I really liked it too. This book is not all about actually playing hockey. It's a great, interesting human story that held my interest right til the end.
