This is the ideal book for people who love and don't love to cook. The recipes are straight foward and the ingredients are easy to find (or substitute.) I have not had a bad recipe from the book yet and have bought copies for friends and family. Unlike most general cook books The Girl Can't Cook has a touch of elegance but nothing to be intimidated by. Every recipe is simple and fail safe. A must have in any cook book collection.

This book guided me through my first turkey dinner from appetizers to dessert and everything in between with rave reviews from my turkey gobbling family and friends. I have scoured the pages of this book and tried almost 1/2 the recipes. I really REALLY wish she would make a sequel to my favorite secret weapon.

My family might laugh at me for using a cookbook with such a telling title, but they're not complaining about my cooking! I have enjoyed all of the recipies I've tried and my dad said the ginger cookies I made were the best he has ever tasted. Not bad, for a girl who really can't cook.

I met the author in a bookstore in Calgary, and was in a rush to get a stocking stuffer gift for my wife for Christmas. She seemed a nice lady, so I handed her $20 for the book, or something like that. Well, it proved to be my wife's favourite gift that year, and has made it to the top of her cookbook pile. We enjoy a number of the dishes outlined in this nicely put together book. I am hoping that she comes out with more of this series, and have put her book, "The Guy Can't Cook" on my Christmas wish list.

Love this book. I usually give it to my friends for birthdays or wedding showers. Has easy, straight-forward instructions for big meals - turkey, ham, roast beef with a gourmet taste but also comfort and kid friendly recipes too. Even my husband uses this book. I've made about 40% of the recipes and 99% of them are AMAZING!!
