Stephanie's Ponytail,
By Erica (Illinois) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Stephanie's Ponytail (Paperback)
Stephanie's Ponytail is a comical picture book that children in the primary grades would find entertaining. All children will be able to relate to Stephanie, who finds that her classmates want to copy all of her hairstyles. The illustrations are vibrant and laughable. The details in the illustrations add plot to the story and will intrigue readers. The text is written in a fun, light-hearted way and is sure to get a laugh. This book can be used to embrace the idea of being different and the importance of individualtity in a variety of classrooms.

The Funniest Book,
By Stephanie (USA) - See all my reviews

I think that this is the coolest book. Stephanie goes to school everyday with a different hair style and the next day everyone copies her. I love this book and I think the ending is so hilarious.

Stephanie's Ponytail,

My 7 & 5 yr old girls thought this book was very funny and could relate to Stephanie's frustration with all the copycats. Stephanie's different ponytail styles added to the fun since we tried them all once we were done reading (and laughing).

While the story may be good - be warned, these are mini books. They are very small & of little use for bedtime reading. I guess you get what you pay for but while some say mini book in the title/description - some do not like this one. I am very disappointed. Bought 3 books for Christmas only to realize they were tiny 1 day before Christmas. OH well, always read the entire description below. Pay the extra & get the regular sized books.

Stephanie's Ponytail,

Stephanie's ponytail is loved by children of all ages. The lesson to be taught in the book is Be a leader and not a follower. The book is very easy for any child to pick out the moral. The pictures are humerous and children can interact while you read. Great for learning sequencing.

I absolutely adore this book! Not only is it great for primary school children, it's a creative tool to teach acceptance and following your own path in the upper grades.

really really small in size. Had no idea. And its hard to tell when you are looking at a online picture of the book. Had I known it was this small I probably wouldnt have bought it!

I love this book and always have, but beware! It's mini. Unfortunately, I returned mine and ordered it in the larger size for $6.60.

I was searching for a little treat for my four-year-old granddaughter to enjoy when she visits us and decided on three very small books, two of them by Robert Munsch. I knew that she has a special liking for small things - these are miniature books that also can be purchased in larger versions. She enjoyed all three books(the other two were Mud Puddle by R. Munsch and Red is Best by Kathy Stinson), but especially liked Stephanie's Ponytail. Some people who have reviewed these "minibooks" were disappointed by the small size of the book, but that was an added attraction for my granddaughter. The story is adorable as well as meaningful and perfect for a four- year-old girl. It also has wonderful illustrations.

It is a great book with beautiful illustrations. Really funny. I loved the way Stephanie outmaneuvered all the other kids at the end of the story. The only other book that I had so much fun with was the second book of the series "Why Some Cats are Rascals". Especially the third part of the book titled Cats Alone.
