This is a neat idea for a book and there is a television clip based on the book that has aired. It tries to give perspective to kids about the world community we live in by likening the world to a village if 100 people.
I bought this to look at with a younger child, but it is probably more easily understood by a child who understands fractions. Still, it is a good concept to get dialogue going with your child about diversity in the world, acceptance of differences and appreciation for our own life reality.
