not a bad idea book, Dec 20 2010
This review is from: Subversive Seamster: Transform Thrift Store Threads Into Street Couture (Paperback)
this book opened my eyes to upcycling clothes. Used many of the basic Ideas and changed them to suit my style. Best part of this book was how to make a body double, so now I can sew for myself. Not a must have but good if you have a creative block and need to get your brain back on the imagination track.

Subversive or home ec?, Mar 17 2011
This review is from: Subversive Seamster: Transform Thrift Store Threads Into Street Couture (Paperback)
This a great book for someone who didn't take home ec.... lots of beginner info which is good, but took up sssooooo much of the book! I was hoping for projects that were a bit more inventive than making a pillow, although I realize that everyone has to start somewhere. Mildly inspiring, great pictures, clear explanations suitable for beginners, a good library item.
