Grandpa, Tell Me Your Memories,
By TriXena (Dayton, OH United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dad Share Your Life With Me (Spiral-bound)
I ordered this book thinking it would be great. Upon its arrival, I was extremely disappointed. As stated by other reviewers, the space allotted for responses is too small. Also, most of these questions do not apply to most grandfathers.Luckily at the time, I bought Grandpa Remembers by Judith Levy. This book is more visually stimulating, engaging, and FUN. I want my dad and father-in-law to enjoy writing their memories, and not become frustrated by lack of space and boredom. Since I am a positive person, I will state that I like the spiral aspect of the book. The book is a nice idea; it just needed a little more thought before being published.

I recently bought this book for my 76 year old father. I amvery disappointed and will not be giving it to my father. Before buying this book, you should very carefully read the product details. The book is very small, about the size of a stack of 3x5" index The idea behind giving someone this sort of book is to learn about

I am planning on giving these gifts to my hubby and myself, from our four year old son, for Christmas. In addition to documenting our history for him, I think it will be fun for us all to work on together, as well. I am looking forward to it!

A great way to learn about your Father,
By A Customer
This review is from: Dad Share Your Life With Me (Spiral-bound)
This book is set up like a calendar with a question for each day of the year about the daily life of the Father to whom the book is presented. I have wished so much that I had asked my parents more questions while they were alive because I really know very little about their thoughts and experiences. My son gave me this book at Christmas time and asked me to give it to him as a Christmas present a year later. So many things came to mind that I know he would never have learned about me otherwise. The questions asked in the book require real thought and bring back memories mostly forgotten, such as "What was the first movie you ever saw?" Wonderful idea.

Excellent tool for parents,

This is a journal that encourages parent-child interaction. It gives you a subject for each day to recall from your childhood and share with your child. An excellent parenting tool, and a good historical record.
