While I don't do much quilting of any kind anymore, I used this book for it's fantastic diagrams of simple wearable art shapes. The author gives patterns for six different garments, which include vest and jacket variations. While she uses a quilting "piece by piece" method of making these, they are quite easy to adapt to whole-piece construction. And seeing as how they are created from simple rectangles, they are also easy to size up or down.

I was delighted with the book...it holds a "sacred" spot with the very few other books I have that offer good wearbale art shapes information and patterns. Sadly, like most every other one of these types of books, this one too is now out of print. Grab it up while you still can!
