This book will be an interesting read for the more seasoned remote viewer. It does not describe any techniques but rather offers some useful tips on how to enhance your viewing skill.
If you are looking for a "how to" book then this is not the one.

The positive reviews of this work are written by those who worship this guy, not by serious remote viewers. Being the first remote viewer does not make you the best, nor the final word on anything about remote viewing. This book is just another historical perspective by one of the former members of a defunct and disfunstional intelligence unit. It doesn't teach you how to remote view, it doesn't even begin to do this. What it does do, is force the reader to wallow through what was in remote viewing. I'd personally look for a book about what the future may hold, or better yet, how to do it. I would not recommend this book to anyone, unless you simply want to listen to another exmilitary dude blow his horn for you.

The book is honestly written. Mr. McMoneagle warns the reader over and over that "remote viewing" is not something everybody can do, and the very few who can , won't get an accurate hit most of the time.
Unfortunately , he doesn't talk much about technique but about protocols and the state of mind of the remote viewer. Having finished the book, I'm still confused as to his definition of remote viewing. It seems to me that good psychics and clairvoyants are able to glean this information all the time although it's not called remote viewing.

He went into the all of the aspects of remote viewing with out actually getting into the nuts and bolts of viewing. It is more for the experienced viewer. Not for someone just wanting to gain some more insight on RV. There is some very unique insight, however.

I do believe this man knows what he's talking about but if you're looking for a manual on practical application of Remote Viewing, don't start here.

He rights with a slightly arrogant overtone but does explain some fundamental elements of remote viewing. It's OK, but it's a handbook; Nothing more.

And certainly not worthy of some of its former reveiws in my opinion.

The most objective and informational book available to date on the topic of remote viewing, written by someone who was there from the beginning.

An open-minded and even-handed look at a controversial topic.

I agree with a previous reviewer in saying that this book is essential to anyone who is seriously interested in researching psychic ability on a scientific level. Other books by Mr. McMoneagle are also available and worth reading if you have interest in the history of remote viewing.

Don't be fooled by the title's reference to Remote Viewing. This book is essential to any serious student or researcher in the psychic field. McMoneagle understands the psychological parameters within which the psychic works. It makes no difference if your particular interest in psychic healing, auras or psychometry; what McMoneagle discusses is very relevant to you.

I highly recommend this book.

Joseph McMoneagle is well-known for his psychic abilities, and recognized as the top expert on remote viewing. He began training in remote viewing more than 20 years ago, and took part in numerous projects sponsored by the U.S. government, including a top-secret program named Stargate. He was awarded a Legion of Merit for the critical information he provided to several intelligence agencies. Remote Viewing Secrets is his third book.

He explains that "remote viewing is the ability to produce information that is correct about a place, event, person, object, or concept which is located somewhere else in time/space, and which is completely blind to the remote viewer." He says that many people do not understand the limitations of remote viewing, and often misuse it. Unless the proper protocols are observed, people mistakenly obtain information from those around them, rather than the remote target.

He describes how remote viewing can be used successfully, and the circumstances, such as looking for UFO's, that are usually unsuccessful.

McMoneagle advises readers to "think of remote viewing as a martial art. It is a way of, and not an end unto itself." He compares the skill levels of remote viewing to "belts" earned in martial arts training, and says that both can lead to personal growth.

He clearly explains exactly what one does to become a successful remote viewer. Having the right state of mind is essential and he describes in detail how that is achieved. He also provides examples on what one can expect to see about remote locations as the viewer's skills increase.

Most remote viewers have some psychic ability to start with, and develop their abilities through practice. McMoneagle explains what training and practice should consist of, and gives directions for choosing a good trainer.

Whether you're simply curious about the art of remote viewing, or whether you'd like to develop your latent abilities, Remote Viewing Secrets will answer all your questions.

As a remote viewing student I found this book to be the one that tied it all together. Joe McMoneagle made the big GROK happen for me! All my questions answered. His additional techniques helped me realize that I did not have to adhere strictly to the methods I had been learning. That once the discipline had been developed, I could find and utilize my own talents and leanings.
Thank You, Joe, elucidation and illuminatation! I bought 2. One to keep and one to circulate. After all, the faster the knowledge of this skill spreads, the sooner humanity can claim its birthright of freedom, knowledge, and Oneness with all that is!
