The book asks where is the evidence for believing this uglyness; its in the mirror..its what they see they believe.Even after many months of not looking the distortion is still there. They also support this belief with any slight comment years before. My friend did all the exercises etc but looking in the mirror still sees "the skin hanging down" plus all the other imaginary distortions. How do they convince themselves it is in their head.Thats the main problem that is not really addressed. What she always comes back to is," But I know what I see."
