Why use 242 pages when 100 would be better,

This review is from: The World Cafe: Shaping Our Futures Through Conversations That Matter (Paperback)
This resource offers a useful tool to engage communities in a process to increase conversations to advance the cause of the community and to develope culture. Unfortunately, the process is repeated so often that the resource becomes tedious and looses its impact. You need not read the entire text. Read the introduction, chapter one to get a sence of the message then skip to chapter 10 and you will have the tool. You can then read a few other stories to clarify the process and selected chapters to fine tune the details. This resource deserved to be written in 100 pages not the 242 it used. |
