Never before have I finished a book and immediately turned around and started reading it again. It's that great! Amelia's style of writing has the reader enthralled and you can't wait to read more. I laughed and I cried at her stories. I'd always been more of a "dog person" before but after reading about her cats I have much more respect for them. This book should be compulsory reading in all schools. Can't wait for Amelia's next book.

What can I say, this book kicks arse! I've been to Amelia's interactive 2 day lectures, and would NEVER have thought of attending had I not read her book and thirsted for more! The book is dotted with medetations to help us break down our intellectual processes, so we become open to what our animal friends are telling us. It flows with stories from Amelia's life and keeps you fully entertained with her wit while jerking a tear or two from your eyes. If you are interested in animal communications-and who wouldn't be?-This book is for you.

I ditto the comments of other reviewers so I will keep this short. 5 stars!!! Worth 3 times the money.

I have studied the methods of other animal communicators, and purchased their books and tapes. This really is the best I have found.

I also have her CD which can be purchased from her web site, and it is wonderful as well.

I am a journalist, and I got this book for research in connection with an article I was writing for FERRETS magazine. I also got it because I was basically just interested in the subject. Well, I read A LOT of books for my research, but I am glad I *bought* this one. It's a keeper. It's extremely well-written in an entertaining style, and covers everything you could possibly want to know about interspecies communication. I even bought another copy as a gift for a friend. I will read it again, for sure. My one complaint? No ferret stories!

I don't mean to sound corny but this book has changed my life.

I have struggled and tried to listen to animals for years, this book is the key I have needed. It has helped to open my mind and has provided me with lessons to follow so I can continue working on my own ability to hear animals.

For many of us the ability to communicate is a rusty skill, it takes time and daily practice to become good at it. The easy to follow lessons will help you along your way.

I do have to say, if I could rate this book with more than five stars, I most definetly would...I have read Amelia Kinkade's Straight from the Horse's Mouth: How to Talk to Animals and Get Answers cover to cover and it was such a wonderful inspiration to all who love and adore their animal friends...Amelia Kinkade certainly breaks it down to you on how to do animal communication and it seems simple enough...She adds wonderful stories from her experiences that will make you laugh, cry, and really make you think...I have to say my favorite part even though it was in the end, was the Epilouge: Rodney's Command Performance...I read it over and over...It made me cry yet feel hopeful, but I won't spoit it for those who haven't read this book...But all in all, it's very inspirational and I'm so greatful this book is avaliable to help us better understand and get closer with our animal friends.

Words cannot express how much I enjoyed this book - as a horse and cat owner (guardian) Kinkade's work has not only enriched my relationships with my animal family, but dramatically changed my perspective of the world. Anyone that has any sort animal in their life will enjoy this book whether they subscribe to the precepts of metaphysics or not. Joyous prose, endearing stories and instructive exercises make reading this book time well spent.

Amelia Kinkade's abilities are nothing short of miraculous. I thank her for sharing her gift with readers and helping us all to become more responsible pet parents and make us more aware of how precious are animal friends are.

I couldn't put this book down! I found it to be so easily read, fun & entusiastic. I will never see animals the same again. I have actually tried to communicate with some animals [far away] and have had success without knowing the answers to my questions untill after the owners verified that I was correct! I do believe Amelia is right, we CAN learn this! If you are serious about Animal Communication, Buy this book!
