This was an interesting book with a good amount of practical imformation on the pros and cons of different types of housing, bedding, feed etc.for chickens. It was obviously written by someone with experience of chicken keeping. Whilst I appreciated the many practical tips, I was really looking for proper plans for building hen houses and was disappointed by the lack of specific drawings and measurements.
Another book that may interest those just starting out in the chicken raising business is the beautifully colored and simply written paperback "Keeping Pet Chickens". Authors Johannes Paul and William Windham have produced this lovely book that will appeal and be accessible to anyone from 9 years to 99!

if you are the type of person that wants to read a book about designing chicken coops, well this is a book about designing chicken coops. It's short and to the point.
