5.0 out of 5 stars Discovering the Truth about Faith through Reason, Oct. 3 2010
This review is from: Handbook of Catholic Apologetics: Reasoned Answers to Questions of Faith (Paperback)
What a wonderful read! Kreeft and Tacelli show so clearly and logically how the Catholic faith is founded upon Truth. They tackle many problems, such as the existence of objective truth, the existence of God, His divinity and nature, His relationship to nature, as well as other sensitive subjects that are more ecumenical in nature.

Rarely do academics write in a way that is so readable for popular audiences. Those who seek the Truth shall find it. If the seeker is like Sherlock Holmes, then The Handbook is a like a super magnifying glass; it doesn't give all the answers, but it does give many of them.

Overall, a wonderful read. The arguments are beautiful. Recommended for Catholics who want to know how to defend their faith and understand why they believe what they do, or for non-Catholics who are curious about the faith and wonder how it is different from other religions.

Excellent. It gives an overview of the problem or confusion on a topic and then gives and explanation that is not complicated. An excellent resourse for your library.

This is one of those dangerous books. You see, any thinking reader should be warned that after a serious reading of the clear and logical explanations presented, they are libel to find themselves willingly sitting in a pew at the local Catholic Church. Heaven forbid!

A perfect book for any individual who is interested in rational, logical explanations of Catholicism. Clearly written. Explanations easy to follow. I cannot recommend it more highly for those seeking information about the Catholic faith -- whether Catholic or not.

Peter Kreeft is a Philosopher. This book follows the logical train of thought of a Philosopher. Basic rules of evidence are preserved and conclusions drawn based on logic and reason.

For anyone looking for an intellectual/logical explanation of the Catholic faith. Wonderful.
