Gil is a skilful and knowledgeable lecturer of the Dharma, and his talks can be found all over the net. His translation of the Dhammapada is both modern, yet traditional. He includes notes throughout to help interpretation. I love how Gil has laid out this book, as well as the general quality of the hardcover itself. I would recommend this version to anyone.

I read the Dhammapada just before going to bed and find it very comforting and in a gentle way, restorative.
