I strongly dislike the negative comments written by Publisher's Weekly as featured in the product description not because I am a fan of PA, but because the comments were clearly made without any understanding of the comic or medium it was made with whatsoever. So please take that into consideration if you are planning on purchasing 'Attack of the Bacon Robots'.
Considering the age of the comics printed in this book, as well as their original format (GIF), the quality of the printout is excellent. The art style may be dated, but some of these comics are ten years old. We can't expect Mike Krahulik's art to be as good then as it is now. (Though, to be somewhat fair, they did their review when the book came out. I'm a little late to the party.)
In any case, if you are a fan of gaming, humor, and/or Penny Arcade, this book is a must-have. At around $12 CAD, it is a steal. With a beautiful cover and high-quality paper, this book is gorgeous from start to finish. And, as mentioned earlier, the quality of the comics is great. They are clear, crisp, and vibrant. They look as good on paper as they do on the web.
