I am a Green Witch, I am solitary, I follow no traditions other than the ones I choose to make. I find most pagan books are nothing more than an individual trying to persuade we that 'their way" is the right way. There is a way to do everything and not all of the authors can agree.

I like this book because to her, there is no right way. YOU must decide what is right for you. I originally took this book out from the library and was so pleased by it that I had to purchase it. If you want to follow a traditional path, like Garderian or wicca, then this book is probably not for you.

I am new to the Green Witch concept and found that this book to be exactly what I needed. It was however not what I expected at all.

The first thing the author explains is how green witchcraft is something very personal and is usually a solitary craft. There are virtues that are central to the green witch but the practice, she explains, is something that is very personable. The rituals and spells she describes are not laden with rigid rules, so as to leave the reader some room for her own creativity and individuality. This book also has many useful tricks and recipes that I really enjoyed learning (like how to make your own home made herbal incense).

If you are looking for and in-depth set of rules and rituals you would probably be disappointed. However if you are looking for general knowledge and ideas on how to express your spirituality and commune with the elements rather than deities, this is the book for you.
