This is an inspiring story about a firefighter who is hard-working and committed to his job but is neglecting his wife and marriage. Their relationship is filled with conflict and they are on the brink of divorce when Caleb's dad challenges him to take on The Love Dare, a 40 day commitment. He starts off reluctantly and half-heartedly but as time goes on his attitude changes and he realizes he wants to fight for his wife's love and to save his marriage.
The story also involves humorous scenes and firefighting action with Caleb and his co-workers.
This book is written quite simply; it reads like it is describing the movie, although there is more to the story in the book. However it does have an important message of commitment for all married couples and because of that it is worth reading.
