Too little for the price, not worth buying, April 5 2005
By A Customer
This review is from: How Full Is Your Bucket?: Expanded Anniversary Edition (Hardcover)
This is more of a booklet than a book, with a very simple message of increasing the positive feedback in your life and reducing the negative. At just over 100 pages of large type with lots of space between the lines and eleven pages with only a simple illustration of a bucket with text inside that is already in the book, there is very little information presented and I found none that had not been done much better elsewhere. Save your money, and if interested, check it out at the library.

Must Read!, Mar 17 2006
This review is from: How Full Is Your Bucket?: Expanded Anniversary Edition (Hardcover)
Its greatest quality is simplicity. Great truths are simple. We often overlook adding a drop of positivity in each other's bucket. The result: an unhappy humanity that we see everyday, and an unhappy individual that we hardly take notice of. It is a great book, always to be cherished, and a wonderful gift. Because the message is so simple, it is easy to remember.

Great recommendation Amazon!, Oct 1 2005
This review is from: How Full Is Your Bucket?: Expanded Anniversary Edition (Hardcover)
How did you feel after your last interaction with another person? Did they make you feel more positive and energized or did they "dip from your bucket," leaving you more negative than before? This great book reveals how even the briefest interactions affect your relationships, productivity, health, and longevity. Organized around a simple metaphor of a dipper and a bucket, and grounded in 50 years of research, this book will show you how to greatly increase the positive moments in your work and your life-while reducing the negative. Filled with discoveries, powerful strategies, and, best of all, an online test of your strengths profile. I also purchased the Amazon recommended title, Emotional Intelligence Quickbook and I'm so glad it was recommended. The book shows you how to increase your EQ based on the author's worldwide research and it includes an online EQ test as well!

Simple, Quick and an Easy concept we should all remember, Oct 13 2011
This review is from: How Full Is Your Bucket?: Expanded Anniversary Edition (Hardcover)
The first time I read this book I loved it for its simplicity. The message stuck with me. We all have an invisible bucket, and when the bucket is full, we feel great, when the bucket is empty we feel not-so-great. Each of us has the power to fill another persons bucket with our words or actions. Likewise, each of us has the power to empty a persons bucket through our words or actions. With each interaction we can begin to determine if we have added to the persons bucket, or taken away. Obviously, the more buckets we fill, the better off we will all be. Spread the optimism, spread the opportunity for growth, spread the joy. I once read of a wonderul exercise in a John C. Maxwell book, to help us all do better with this...imagine every person you bump into today is walking around with a smile on their face and a "10" on their forehead. Would you treat them differently? With a little more effort perhaps? Imagine if everyone we met were seen this way. There would be a lot of full buckets out there. In summary, great little book, but you can get all the information on the internet without having to pay for it. It really is short and simple.
