Well this is the least impressive of the Creepy / Eerie released, it is great stuff but a few little things...
1- the Frazetta cover, this is from Eerie Mag #3, Vic Presio's covers are great, except for the annoying blurbs on the covers. this book covers 11-15 but Frazetta is a big seller.
2- a lot of repeats from creepy issues gone by, Jim Warrens staff of artists left for greener pastures (well most of them) and he had to save the mags by reprinting past creepy stories.
But on the other hand...
1- There are 3 Jeff Jones stories included, he was/is a master and the three are the highlights of the book.
2- There are a few stories by unknowns that are really very good. What happened to these artists and writers is a mystery
The next volume will usher in the new greats (Wrightson, Corben, Gonzalez, Moroto to name a few) as Warren got the motor rolling again as never before.
This would be the finest of the finest, with more mature writing content.
