Good start to a series called Common Powers,

Who hasn't fantasized about having paranormal powers? Wouldn't it be nice to communicate telepathically or have premonitions or any special gifts? In the first book of this series, the gift of telepathy is shared by the two main characters, Sammi and Mitchell. Once we accept that, everything else is normal. That is, normal for a young executive who masturbates at his office desk and gets caught and another younger man who was owned as a sex slave and is now hunted by his former captor. Sure, that happens every day. Right? When Mitchell saves Sammi from recapture the adventure begins, not only the relationship between the two men who realize quickly that they are soul mates but also how to avoid capture by the bad guys. Love comes quickly, perhaps a little too quickly, but then they do have that amazing soul bond, don't they? The story has its ups and downs but as all such tales usually do it ends happily. The sex scenes are plentiful and detailed and the solutions to various problems seems somewhat facile but that's the nature of most m/m romantic novels, I guess. It's a pretty good read for a few hours and leads nicely into books 2 and 3 of the series in which new characters are introduced but old familiar ones reappear as well.
