Good for beginning artists and beginning Painter users alike,

So far this book has been quite good at helping me understand the basic operations of Painter. It's a bit too much instruction on how to actually draw or paint for my needs but it does help apply the technical functions of the program. The only limitation so far is that the accompanying CD includes some image files which can't be opened on my Mac even though the book is geared toward both Mac and PC users. So far they haven't been critical files though.
