This book is packed with information, covering just about every aspect of soapmaking. Great recipes, safety advice and fully illustrated examples. Quite inspiring, and useful especially for the beginner, as it goes step by step, with advice at every stage of the process. Recommended.

There is a lot of information on the processes of soapmaking but it's short on recipes for milled soap. Listen to the author about using a double boiler carefully. I let mine boil dry and the ceramic stove top cracked! An expensive lesson!

This book mentions nothing about melt and pour method, so I was extremely disappointed. If you are looking for a book that only outlines making soap from scratch, then this book is for you.
