This book is intented for beginers and amateur cooks looking for deeper understanding of the science of cooking, cooking techniques and their relationship with each other. While most of the recipes are Interesting, I think they're more of a starting point for you to fiddle with and change to your liking and the great part is this book provides you with the tools to do just that !
