Need additional reference material.
Rosetta Stone is easy to install and use. I wish that there was some written reference material included. When a new word or concept is introduced, the definition or usage is not always obvious from the pictures. For instance, some adjectives precede nouns, others follow. There is no explanation for this. Why, " Vado a cavallo," but, "Vado in bicicletta"...

this is not easy
I got through the first few lessons without any problem, but then the complexity of the instruction took off leaving me behind, and not sure how to go back and repeat what I have done...so far seems like I wasted $500......sigh

Rosetta Stone is easy to install and use. I wish that there was some written reference material included. When a new word or concept is introduced, the definition or usage is not always obvious from the pictures. For instance, some adjectives precede nouns, others follow. There is no explanation for this. Why, " Vado a cavallo," but, "Vado in bicicletta"? Suddenly the conditional tense appears, or double pronouns, without explanation. So you have to have other resources at hand, such as wiktionary.org, ILGUR, cyberitalian.com, Italian Verbs for Dummies, etc. If you have these, this is a great way to learn Italian.

The product is easy to install and use. You do need internet connection or you will have to phone for activation. Intuitive learning process. Now all I need is self discipline. No complaints.

Rosetta Stone lives up to expectations. Their method for teaching a language works....it offers me hope of achieving conversational fluency through a comprehensive set of exercises employing voice-recognition software, games and the ability to interact with a world-wide Rosetta community, as well as studio sessions. I look forward, not just to Italy, but to practising my Italian!
