very funny book, bought it for me brother who just had a new baby. depicts the situation perfectly, recommend it

I heard a lot about this book from friends and family, so I decided to get it as we were expecting our first baby. While it was funny for the first few pages, it started to lose my interest before I even got to the end. Definitely a waste of money, should have just picked it up and read it at the bookstore.

For anyone who has ever been tired out due to a restless child, you'll definitely be able to relate to this book! Though you may want to hide it from your child(ren)...

Good for any parent or as birthcontrol, for people looking to have kids.
It's only funny for the 1st two or three reads

My sister has a 2 year old that will not sleep through the night. I though this a perfect gift for them as it reminds us all that with all hases, this too shall pass. Laughter is the best medicine for putting things into perspective.

I bought this book for my expecting sister in-law and brother. They both stated how when the baby's born, that they'll have to be especially careful with their language etc. I thought this would be most-fitting. It is a halarious interpretation of an exasperated parent, whose kid won't go to sleep. It's what I'm sure nearly every parent thinks, but never wants to say out-loud, but now someone finally did. For those who find this kind of thing funny (like I do), I recommend going on to YouTube and checking out the video clip of Samuel L. Jackson reading this book. It's quite halarious.

I was introduced to this book by a girlfriend and I just had to have it. Showed it to another girlfriend and she had to have it, so we ordered two. This is a great gift for a baby shower or to give to parents you know are struggling with too little sleep and a roaming toddler. Love it!

With rhyming couplets at once sweet and profane, this illustrated bedtime story is a cathartic read for parents of young children.

i don't want kids, i buy kids books for me, 'cause i guess i'm staying one instead of having one. this book definitely made me giggle throughout. and i think it could be a cool quirky gift for an older child... possibly one that's grown past the phases in the book.
