This review is for the hardcover edition measuring 11 1/4 X 8 1/4 having 432 pages.
Similar in shortcomings to an earlier book I review of a similar style THIS book as well has WAY TOO FEW pictures.
The biggest shortcoming however is one of slight misrepresentation of it.
It is a 'cookbook'....but more appropriately I would call it a cookery book for students.
While covering SOME traditional French cooking it spends a LOT of time on VERY basic information more appropriate to a student in a cooking class.
There is about 1/2 of the book with recipes and the other 1/2 is a variety of 'technical' information including the MANY types of beans etc.
Not what I thought it would be it might be fine for a beginning student in a cookery class but if you want recipes mostly....this is not the volume for you.
