A true cultural treasure chest,
By KaMaRa (Left Coast, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Folk Knitting in Estonia (Paperback)
Anyone with an interest in nordic knitting patterns would be very wise to include this treasure trove in their library. The patterns are stunning and very knittable, even by a beginner like me. The variety in Estonian national costumes is stunning... naturally, knit mitts and stockings are an important part of this statement of identity. I was loath to give away the mitts and gloves I made... almost wanted to make an extra mitt or glove to frame and display in my own home. This is more than just knitting... it's creating art.

Nancy has done it again. Her book is a delight and a great "portable project" book. The illustrations, instructions, and patterns are very easy to follow and techniques are unique.
