5.0 out of 5 stars Great healthy recipes, July 6 2009
This review is from: The Whole Foods Allergy Cookbook, 2nd Edition: Two Hundred Gourmet & Homestyle Recipes for the Food Allergic Family (Paperback)
My son has allergies to wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, and oats. We also are avoiding nuts and seeds until he is older. This cookbook has been very useful for adding new healthy meals to our diet. Some of the recipes that have become family favourites include: Thai green chicken curry, Easy coconut rice pudding, and Cherry dijon pork chops.

It is difficult to find good cookbooks that provide tasty, nutritious recipes while avoiding several allergens. This book has become one of my favourites.

Yet, another great book by Cybele Pascal!
She has took all the guess work out and has tested these recipes to make living with allergies a whole lot easier.
Full of good wholesome recipes that are for all people with food allergies. This is definitely a book you must have.
I have numerous books stating they are allergy free and then I find out most of the recipes contain something that my grandson cannot have. I wish I would have found her books alot sooner than I had. This book has 200 recipes which will definitely give the allergy sufferer a wide selection of meals to choose from.
If you are thinking twice about buying this book...think again. I find more and more grocery stores are now stocking their shelves with items for people with allergies and I was able to stock the pantry quite quickly. The other hard to find items were available at health food stores and bulk stores.

I have peanut, tree nut and shellfish allergies, so I'm always nervous about trying new food and recipes. This cookbook is excellent and has great variety. All the recipes are so tasty and easy to prepare. Cybele explains her recipes in a very user-friendly way. I would highly recommend this cookbook, along with Cybele's other cookbook "The Allergen-Free Baker's Handbook", which has a "Red Velvet Cake" recipe that is to die for!!! :) You don't have to have food allergies to enjoy all the recipes in both these cookbooks! Happy Eating!!! :)
