Excellent gardening advice for Calgary area, Aug 28 2010

My daughter moved to Calgary and is trying her hand at gardening, which is very different than in Ontario. I bought her a copy of Gardening Under the Arch to help her understand her unique climate area. It is filled with all sorts of information specific to western Alberta... from Chinooks, contending with hail, extending your growing season, plants hardy enough to flourish, and much more. I would encourage anyone from this particular region, who could use some gardening encouragement and guidance to buy this book.
