Love these book, I have used these books from grade 1-6. Kids had to go back to school for one year and they were right on with the same things kids were working on. My children were ahead of class but never felt different because the curriculum was very close to the school they were in. I am teaching again at home and they enjoy these book very much.

As a Canadian who homeschools my son while travelling in the US and Mexico, it's difficult to find curricula that is comprehensive, relevant and interesting. This book is very nicely put together and a great exercise book for our homeschool. My son loves doing the exercises, although a little more explanation would have been helpful, i.e. how to complete a word search or a crossword grid. We used an American curriculum for grade one, and found this book contained a lot of the same concepts, even though it's at a grade two level, but that is a function of the differences between Canadian and American curricula, not the content of this book. It's so nice to see the Canadian content, and I will definitely buy future grade levels.

I bought this book to prepare my son for the first grade. He finds it too boring and loses motivation quickly. This book covers lots of topics, however it is certainly not for kids who love to see colors. I found the Sylvan 1st grade books work better.
