We are homeschoolers. We use these books as a review of the current grade before moving on to the next grade (for Math, English, Social Studies and Science). Our children enjoy the content, the books cover interesting topics without too much information and before it becomes boring. The book is also set up in such a way that the children can complete one section of each subject each day. Done this way, the review is finished in about a month.

I found that the book does not have enough explanations and examples. The science and social studies especially. This book still needs a lot of parental inputs and searching other materials for more information.

Actually more work than taught at school, a good way to make sure your child is advancing ahead of the class or at least keeping pace with the curriculum. It is also a good method to encourage homework studies on a regular routine since most children seem not to have any homework and do not engage in any outside school activity other than video games or the occasional athletic sport.
